What
Katie and Tyler will be celebrating their engagement with friends and family roughly 12 months before their actual wedding in Tyler's hometown of Sonoma, CA. In fact, the party will be held on Tyler's family vineyard/ranch that is nestled between Napa and Sonoma off HWY 121 in the renown wine-producing region of Carneros.
This ranch has a lot of special meaning for Tyler, as many of his formative years were spent on the property shooting guns, riding four-wheelers, and getting into all kinds of debauchery with his friends. When Tyler brought Katie out to the ranch for the first time, she fell in love with it too. When it came time to pick a venue for their engagement celebration, the vineyard was at the top of their list.

Food & Drink
Food will be provided in the form of the renown El Coyote taco truck. They will be serving from a full menu from approximately 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Light snacks and appetizers will be served beforehand.
Beer from Carneros Brewery and various varietals of wine will be provided. Non-alcoholic beverages will also be on hand.

In lieu of gifts
Instead of gifts, we are asking guests that want to contribute something to "stock the bar". Even though we plan to have enough to drink on hand, more is always better. If you want to bring your favorite beer, wine, or champagne to the party, that would be great. Whatever isn't consumed will hopefully last until the wedding...maybe (at least that is the idea). If, and only IF, you feel like getting us something beyond stocking the bar, that is entirely up to you. We aren't expecting you to, but if you do, we would be graciously humbled.
*Sorry...please, no small children
Although we have plenty of family and friends that have small children, we must request that they not attend the party. We know that this may be inconvenient, but due to the conditions of the venue and the many potential dangers around, it would be better if they didn't come. The last thing we would want is somebody's little one to fall in the pond or hurt themselves around a piece of heavy machinery. We hope you understand.
Entertainment
We plan to have enough forms of entertainment on hand to keep all of our guests occupied. This may include, but is not limited to, beer pong, corn hole, ladder ball, horseshoes, and whiffleball. Also, if it is warm enough, and guests are daring enough, you are more than welcome to take a dip in the pond...but be sure to bring swimwear or spare clothes. Lastly, we plan to have a bonfire in the evening to warm our guests up. It can get chilly at the ranch later in the day, so plan accordingly.
Places to stay
For our guests that plan to attend from out of town, and need accommodations, you can check out this link for resources. Availability is very limited (and expensive) in Sonoma/Napa, so plan ahead, look at surrounding cities, and check discount websites, ect. Also, book early because of the BottleRock music festival occurring the same weekend. If you're travelling with a larger group of people, it might be worth looking into renting a house for the weekend. VRBO.com and AirBnB.com are good resources. Let us know if you need help finding a place to stay.
